TEHRAN – The Husseini Infants Ceremony will be held in more than 8,500 Muharram mourning congregations across Iran, the secretary of the World Assembly of Ali Asghar (AS) said. 
Davoud Manafipour said that Muharram mourners will mark the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS)’s infant son Ali Asghar (AS) in Iran and 45 countries.
Ali Asghar was the minor son of Imam Hussein (AS) and his wife, Lady Rubab.
On the International Day of Ali Asghar, mothers gather with their infants to show sympathy for Lady Rubab. 
The event is annually held in a number of countries, including Iran, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Afghanistan.
